“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock…
But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand—and the fall of it was great.”
— Matthew 7:24–27
Culture isn’t redecorating — it’s tearing out load‑bearing walls and calling it progress.
They’re moving the plumbing called marriage.
They’re ripping out the studs called biological reality.
They’re replacing the concrete of “male and female He created them” with the sand of “you are whoever you feel like today.”
And too many Christians are clapping because the new color palette is rainbow.
A society that redefines reality every five years is not progressing. It is collapsing in slow motion.
Cosmetic vs. Structural Lies
- Cosmetic remodels — slang changes, fashion, music. Harmless.
- Structural remodels — redefining personhood, sexuality, justice, and truth itself.
These are not upgrades. These are demolition orders disguised as inclusion.
When the foundation moves, the whole house is condemned—even if the countertops are marble and the Wi-Fi is fast.
Psalm 11:3 is not ancient poetry. It is live footage:
“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
If the foundations are destroyed, the righteous don’t get to keep the house. They get buried in it.
The Remodel Currently in Progress
Right now, in real time, culture is quietly issuing new building codes:
- A child can consent to chemical castration but not to a tattoo.
- A boy can compete as a girl and you’re the bigot for noticing.
- “My truth” is celebrated; the truth is labeled hate speech.
- Justice is no longer blind—it’s intersectional, weaponized, and for sale.
This is not progress.
This is termites with a marketing team.
You can paint a crumbling house any color you want. Gravity still wins.
Christ Is Still the Cornerstone (No Substitutions Accepted)
- Ephesians 2:20 — the house is built on the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone.
- Matthew 7:24 — the only foundation that survives the storm is doing what Jesus said.
Every other foundation is sand—progressive sand, conservative sand, sentimental sand, therapeutic sand. All sand—shifting, unstable, and doomed to collapse.
How to Live in a House Being Demolished Around You
- Stop admiring the new fixtures while the foundation cracks.
- Call the contractors what they are — not visionaries, but destroyers.
- Build parallel wherever possible — families, schools, businesses, churches that refuse the new codes.
- Speak the truth plainly before the inspectors outlaw it.
- Stand on the Rock when the tide comes—and it’s coming.
The storm is not coming. The storm is already inside the walls.
Final Inspection
Culture will keep remodeling until the house falls or the Lord returns.
Our job is not to haggle over wallpaper with the wrecking crew — it’s to point to the Rock.
One day the sandcastles will be gone.
Only what is built on the Rock will remain.
Build there.
Live there.
Invite others before the tide comes in.
— Mark Weimer
Still think these cultural shifts are just cosmetic?
Think again. They’re not renovating the house, they're remodeling with a wrecking ball.
